At Guildhouse we are proud to be announce the reopening of
our freshly refurbished Bloomberg Business Lab. Take a look:
The Bloomberg Business Lab at Guildhouse School London is the only one in a high school in Europe. The lab allows students to learn how to use professional Bloomberg Terminals® – the world’s leading platform for global business and finance news, data and analytical tools.
This hands-on learning is not usually available to students until they enter higher education or even the workplace. Students can use the terminals to develop knowledge of the effects of global news and events on financial markets and understand the impact of different economic scenarios.
Hands-on Learning for Finance, Business and Economics Students
Each terminal offers up to date financial information and historical detail for the last 20 years, providing students a way to deepen their understanding of markets past and present while preparing for the future.
The Bloomberg Lab also hosts our simulated trading and investment projects where students have a chance to experience and develop the skills needed to maximise returns.
Bloomberg Market Concepts and The Incubator Challenge
Students are also encouraged to take the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) course as part of their studies. This course is self-paced and covers 70 Bloomberg Terminal® functions as well as an interactive introduction to financial markets. 250 of our students have already achieved this industry standard professional certification.
This market understanding can feed into other aspects of business education at Guildhouse, including our Incubator Challenge. This project asks students to develop and pitch new business ideas to a group of industry experts, business leaders and entrepreneurs who then choose a winner.
Our Creative Commerce Board is made up of industry leaders who support students through one-to-one advice, coaching. The board also facilitatea visits to top businesses for a taste of real corporate life.
All of this gives students a competitive advantage by
learning this industry leading equipment, supported by world-class teaching in English from friendly teachers.
Almost half of our students go on to study economics, finance or business degrees in the UK and we’ve sent students to 22 out of 24 Russel Group universities.
