CATS Global Schools (CGS) annual Incubator Enterprise Challenge was hosted last week at Guildhouse School, London. Budding entrepreneurs from four CGS schools presented their innovative business ideas to panel of guest judges, Roberto Jiménez-Fernández, from Guildhouse School’s Creative Commerce Board and Oliver Riley, CATS Cambridge Deputy Head – Performance and Outcomes. After five excellent pitches and a Q&A session, the judges determined the overall CGS Incubator Enterprise Challenge 2025 winner.
Bournemouth Collegiate School, CATS Cambridge, The Worthgate School and the hosts Guildhouse School all entered teams in this year’s challenge. There were five teams participating this year, including two teams from Bournemouth Collegiate School. Student teams had been developing their business idea and pitch over several months, working collaboratively to develop a product, rationale and presentation.
The teams present in London had won their own school’s internal Incubator Challenge, which meant that the standard was extremely high. Each team shared an excellent concept underpinned by thorough research and strong presentations. Pitches were delivered very professionally with students using some of the business knowledge and skills they have developed to share their idea. Both judges asked very thoughtful, probing questions that the teams were able to answer extremely well.

The Teams and Their Ideas
The Worthgate School – Bottle IQ – a smart water bottle to tracks your hydration.
CATS Cambridge – Eco Pisces – an innovative device using light and sound, that attracts fish while repelling non-target species.
Bournemouth Collegiate School – EducoNETion – a website that bridges the gap for international students navigating new education systems.
Bournemouth Collegiate School – The Green Package – biodegradable packaging that shrinks when subjected to hot water.
Guildhouse School – Timeless Threads – a personalised styling service, refining clothing choices, decluttering and organising wardrobes and developing for clients’ a cohesive, personal style.

Judges, Roberto Jiménez-Fernández and Oliver Riley commented on how impressed they were by the confidence shown by all participants. They also noted how difficult it was to choose a winner from the five presentations.
The overall winner selected was The Green Package from Bournemouth Collegiate School. Congratulations to the students on their brilliant idea and excellent pitch. They really impressed the judges with their thorough, detailed presentation and clear idea.

Thank you to our judges, the teachers involved in helping prepare the students for the event and most importantly, the students who took part.
The incubator challenge will return in 2025-26 – watch this space!
